Code Vein is set in a post-apocalyptic vision of the near future, after mysterious thorns pierced the Earth's crust. Human civilization has collapsed, and the only survivors are known as Revenants—vampires endowed with superhuman abilities, forming a community called Vein. These Revenants have forsaken their humanity and most of their memories to survive in this harsh new reality. Despite their condition, they refuse to accept their fate and strive to uncover the secrets of their fallen world. Additionally, they must control their thirst for blood, as failing to do so can turn them into monstrous, aggressive creatures.
