Destiny 2: Forsaken is the third major expansion for Destiny 2, a hybrid of FPS and MMO developed by Bungie Software. In this expansion, players are tasked with tracking down and capturing eight notorious criminals who have escaped from the Prison of Elders.

Destiny 2: Forsaken takes players to the Tangled Shore, a lawless region on the outskirts of the Reef, located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. This area, once a haven for pirates and outlaws seeking lost treasures, serves as the setting for the expansion's storyline. The player, accompanied by the iconic Cayde-6, is sent to investigate a recent outbreak of violence in the Prison of Elders. Upon arrival, they discover that eight Barons, the most dangerous criminals, have escaped. Despite being ordered to stand down by the Vanguard, the heroes embark on a mission to hunt down these fugitives.
