Desynced is an economic strategy game with simulation elements, where players manage an extraterrestrial outpost. In the game, a fleet of drones is responsible for extracting, processing, and transporting various resources, all with the aim of repairing the player's damaged spaceship.

Set in a science fiction world, Desynced begins with the player's ship suffering damage in space. With no other options available, the player must deploy drones to a nearby planet's surface to gather resources and construct the necessary facilities to carry out repairs. Fortunately, the player is not entirely alone in this endeavor, as ELAINE, the ship's AI on the verge of self-awareness, offers its virtual assistance.

The gameplay is viewed from a top-down perspective. Players control a fleet of drones that mine natural resources, construct various buildings (including factories), and transport materials and finished products between different facilities. As the player is not particularly welcome on this beautiful yet alien and dangerous planet, the outpost eventually becomes a target for attacks from the local wildlife. Therefore, preparing defenses in advance is crucial. Desynced allows players to fully automate the actions of their drones, with two methods available. Less experienced players can utilize a range of customizable parameters, while more advanced strategists can dive into a complex scripting system that provides maximum control over every aspect of the drones' operations.
