Your task is to watch over people (referred to as the "monkeys") and gather valuable information about their secrets.

In Do Not Feed the Monkeys, players observe the lives of different individuals through security cameras. By eavesdropping on their conversations and watching their actions, you learn various things about them. What you do with this information is entirely up to you. You can follow the titular instruction and "not feed the monkeys," meaning you don't interfere in their lives, or you can choose to use your knowledge against them to earn extra money, which often comes with unforeseen consequences.

However, it’s important to remember that money is always scarce, and the protagonist needs it to pay rent and buy essential supplies like food and drink. Besides managing finances, players must also take care of the character’s health by ensuring they get enough sleep. But timing is crucial, as sleeping means missing out on potential observations and useful clues. The challenge is compounded by the fact that to learn everything, the protagonist would have to watch multiple targets simultaneously, which is impossible. Therefore, a single playthrough won't reveal all aspects of the game, encouraging multiple replays to fully explore its content.
